Gold Coast

On to Dream World today.  A big let down from yesterdays high, although the kids still had fun. The standout for Zachie was meeting “Dorda” and chasing every bloody bird he could find.  Scarlett loved the rides.  Talk about thrill seeker.  Her favourite was “everything” again (bad at decisions just like her mother).  Maxie thought the crocodile was pretty cool and he got up close and personal with a kangaroo, but the dodgem cars were the winner. You could hear him belly laughing from the other side of the track (too cute).  Rick cut loose again and went on the “Tower of Terror” which he so eloquently called the Tower of Cucca for obvious reasons.  He said not many things excite him these days (except me of course) but this ride was far beyond expectation.  A huge rush and hard to beat.  Wiggle World was dull and the big red car ride was pretty uneventful.  The tigers were awesome, but I missed most of it as the kids decided it was time for lunch and started raiding the lunch boxes that we'd smuggled in again.  Thrill seekers to the end, we were the last to leave again, as the kids went from ride to ride at the end of the day. Thankgod there were no line ups.  This place would not be fun in the school holidays or on hot days. Cold and totally over it, we piled three exhausted kids into the car in the dark and could only manage a plate of baked beans and toast back at la casa.  The kids weren't complaining.  Another top day for three very lucky kids.
