Noosa & Eumundi

On to Sarah and Kevies house in Eumundi bright and early this morning. I have to say, I"m a little dusty after quite a heavy night.  Talk about blah blahing.  I don't think any of us drew breath last night.  Miss Danielle is quite the shopper.  She had magazines, websites and shops for pretty much anything you could think of.  She's in the know about face book, blogs, twitter.  Talk about cutting edge and leaves me for dead, on many fronts sadly, particularly her candle making skills.  Most impressive.  I can only hope we get the chance to stop in on the way home for those much talked about shopping hot spots.  So another DVD later and we were at Kev and Sarah's doorstep.  Kev came down to greet us and help Rick navigate his way up the driveway.  They live on 10 acres just outside of Eumundi and have a long rocky path up to the house via a little wooden bridge over a stream.  It was a little hair raising but Kevie's a doer and before we knew it, the van was up at the house albeit minus a tail light.  And what a welcome from Sarah.  Its been a 4 long years and three children later between us since we last saw each other.  We didn't draw breath and the kids didn't miss a beat from the get go.  Straight to the chook pen for my lot.  Alfie was most eager to show off his feathered friends, catching them, trimming their wings and showing the kids around the chicken coup.  I don't think I've seen either of them so mesmerized.  This kid is Steve Irwin in making, catching birds, wrestling chooks, bush bashing on his bike.  And Lily has the cutest little voice, like a chipmunk, you could just squeeze her.  So we had our work cut out keeping these kids under wraps. Sarah and I managed to slip out in the afternoon for a coffee in a cute french cafe in the next town on the way to the butchers for some pork spare ribs for dinner.  The boys got the fire going outside around 4PM.  A one pot wonder from Sarah and dinner was sorted.  Dessert was the ribs cooked straight over the coals and Kevie and Sarah were singing Ricky boys praises.
