Gold Coast

Happy Birthday to me.  39 today and feeling very blessed.  What a lovely day.  The sun was shining and we spent it at Sea World.  The kids had a ball. The shows were great.  We loved the Shark enclosure.  My god they are big.  And scary. The dolphins were beautiful and very clever.  The show was excellent and Scarlett was desperate to get her bikini on and play Ariel in the middle of it.  We did the obligatory log ride.  I felt very Princess Dianna like as the water sprayed us on the way down.  Scarlett kept insisting that we go on this ride but I made the kids sit at the front so they got wet (well it is my birthday).  Sadly I can’t say the same for the water cannons in Castaway Bay.  Rick pelted me with water and I was drenched.  Luckily the kids had their swimmers on for that one and I covered what I could with Scarletts towel.  Maxie particularly loved the sea lion that kissed Big Al Balone as he attempted to give him mouth to mouth.  He also thought feeding the sting rays was pretty awesome, a bit too slimy for my liking.  As for Zach he is a budding thrill seeker and nature lover.  He tried to launch himself into the sting ray pool and kept putting his hand in the water to touch them.  And he loved the Big Bird ride where they free fall (if you can call it that) the kids a few metres.  He was in hysterics, unlike his brother who was very serious and unhappy.  Dinner was a one pot wonder at home, washed down with a lovely white followed by lots of phone calls.  Thanks for the well wishes.
